We engaged Halrich to complete a significant renovation in our heritage home including removal of a chimney, several internal walls, and build of new kitchen and 3 new bathrooms including elevating ceilings and adding skylights. Halrich gave us confidence from the outset that we were in good hands as they navigated us through the permitting process, provided recommended suppliers, and helping us make decisions around design and finishings. We knew it would be critical to have a trusted relationship with our contractor throughout a project of this magnitude and Halrich made a great impression as soon as we met them – Rick and Drew are genuinely very nice people. They understand how personal and stressful a home renovation can be, and they go the extra mile to help you feel reassured, in good hands, and are with you every step of the way. They also understood the limitations of our budget, and while there were a few surprises along the way (somewhat par for the course with a 100yr old house) they worked hard to identify options and solutions that aligned with our budgetary constraints. Halrich did a complete basement reno (gut job right down to the studs) including a new bathroom w/ shower, as well as tearing out an old sunroom off the back of the house and rebuilding a beautiful new deck complete with new concrete pad & footings.

This was my wife and I’s first experience with a major renovation, and when choosing a contractor first impressions mattered a lot. Of all the contractors we pitched Halrich impressed us the most right from the start, and through the whole project from start to finish they were responsive, accurate, knowledgeable and helpful.

Their staff are incredibly good at what they do, and their ticketed sub-contractors (plumbing, electrical, etc) were top notch.
